Sounds like a waste of the IP if you ask me. We have already had more than enough 1st person zombie games. I guess I always pictured The Walking Dead game being 3rd person.

I agree with you on the 3rd person aspect, I really wish this would be 3rd person but I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

My thoughts from the other thread:

Nice actually sounds better than I thought it would initially, Walking Dead FPS my first thought was some company is going to kill this by turning it into a run and gun type game but sounds like they're doing a pretty good job of keeping it realistic (conserving ammo and food, how you interact with other survivors you come across changes if they'll stick with you or end up hating you).

I'll be curious to see how this progresses, I really like what Telltale is doing with the episodic game so worst case still have that but if this turns out to look promising as well can't go wrong with another style of Walking Dead game.

Agreed, sounds somewhat interesting. In particular, the aspect about having the ability sneak by zombies or shoot them sounds intriguing. Sounds like they going for the survival horror feel, which if done properly could turn out to be something interesting.

The only way, and I mean only way, this will really work is if they make it like DayZ for ArmA II.

Well, it says you will be controlling Daryl, that in itself is enough reason for me to get it!

I do agree though, I've kinda pictured a The Walking Dead game to be a third person game. Just based on the fact that the show is more about survival during a zombie apocalypse, not just shooting zombies. First person is fit more for Nazi Zombies and Left for Dead where you aren't so much surviving rather just killing zombies.

But we haven't even seen any gameplay yet, so who knows how it's gonna work out.
