Re: New Operation Sports Redesign Coming, Need Your Help
I think video reviews would be a great thing. That is one of the main reasons I go to IGN and Gamespot. I love how OS provides screenshots of pretty much every detail of the game, but I think it would add a whole lot more if we could here some dialog and opinions in some videos.
Another thing that I've mentioned before, adn I understand that it is hard to keep up with the changing dates is a release schedule. I'm just saying that because that is something I go to other sites to find out. OS is always my first stop when checking out sports related games, but I always have to go to other sites to get more detailed release information.
A search box at the top of the main page that indexes all your games would be nice too. OS has pages for lots of games, but the only way I know to get to them is through the preview/review links. I wish I could search for them and bring up a page for a game from that. Also, doesn't OS have separate pages for a game, whether it is a preview or review? I would like to see one page for a game, like a Madden 07 page, that had links for all the information for that one game on it. Screens, videos, preview news, and reviews all on the same page. On that same note, sectionalizing the games would look nice. Put the basketball, baseball, football, etc games in a section so it is easier to check out the features of similar games quicker.
Also, like others have said, the main page is really texty. It could really use a pic bar for the most recent news for you to click and take you to the news for that game.
