For as long as I’ve been playing sports games, I’ve been fascinated with the tracking of progress within career modes. From the early days of a black and white composition book to the more recent use of capture cards and video blogs, dynasty tracking has come a long way.

In this piece, I'll take a look at what makes for a good read, as well highlighting some of the more successful and popular dynasties on OS. Even though each dynasty is unique in its own way, there are some common characteristics that all successful dynasties share. Let’s take a look at a few of them.

Great article, Like you mentioned I think its very important to stick with it during the bad times, and keep the readers updated on what is going on.

Great write up. I completely agree with your final points on the vacuum. It's very easy to get into that and takes away from the greater league news and visibility.
And the realistic change is good too. I play alot of football manager and it's a great game to see how your team ebbs and flows within a league and a simulated world.

I hope Madden update the connected franchise mode with a more storyline narrative version . Wishful thinking I guess. Or at least give us the tools so we can do it ourselves. So they can concentrate on ultimate team and Draft champions .
