After just doing a quick search for vbulletin themes it looks like there are a decent amount of options, so I’m sure it’ll look more OS and less generic once the heavy lifting of moving everything over and squashing the most critical bugs is done.

Gotta lay the foundation before painting the walls. Or…whatever metaphor works here. I don’t know. 😂

Random thing i heard about that people can try and realize it works.

                  Kaprekar's constant

If you use any 4 digit number (once the number isnt all the same digit) and constantly rearrange it into two numbers (highest and lowest), you'll eventually end up with 6174.

                  Let's use 2025 for example.

                  1st:
                  5220-0225=4995

                  Now, rearrange that:
                  9954-4599=5355

                  Do it again
                  5553-3555=1998

                  Attempt 4
                  9981-1899=8082

                  Now 5
                  8820-0288=8532

                  Attempt 6
                  8532-2358=6174!

You can use any 4 digit number that's not something like 1111,2222 and it works!

Was watching Hollywood Squares and one of the players definitely had a Homer Simpson moment without realizing it.

For context, the secret square if you get it right you win a trip.

It was their turn, they could either go for the block (choosing the person who would wind up being the secret square) or the win (choosing someone who for sure isn't the secret square since they were chosen in the last round).

They opted for the trip (which is probably a 5-10k prize) instead of going for the win (which would have you playing for 25k).

Which brings up the Homer Simpson like moment I thought of.

                        "Money? I want a trip!"
"Money can get you a trip."
                        "Explain how!"
"Money can be exchanged for goods and services"

Safe to say, the guy lost the game but he won the trip....but the money would've been nicer for sure.

kinda reminds me of Family Guy, you could win a boat or a mystery box, the mystery box could be anything, even a boat!

I saw some report saying YouTube will introduce generative ai ads, as if their ads aren't bad enough where you're watching some 15-30 second ads just to see some 3 minute DIY video.

But it had me wondering how much more personalized ads might get one day. Obviously on tv you can't alter what ads appear for different people (as in, if you and your neighbour watched the same channel, it'll be the same ads, but different cities might alter depending on the local network).

But imagine if streaming ads were so much more personalized or related to the show you're watching.

For instance, I was watching a show on tv and one moment in it someone got into a car accident. An ad that followed shortly after by pure coincidence was a car insurance ad. Imagine if ads become so personalized to the point that the ads could show up during breaks related to what you're watching to that extent.

Lots of sites don't seem to be working properly for me this morning. Only sites I've been able to get to and navigate have been OS and APOD (Astronomy Picture of the Day)

                              Sesame Street moving to Netflix.

Obviously I don't keep up with how/when/where the episodes air, but I never knew they were part of HBO for the last decade. They remained on PBS, but any new episode would be delayed on PBS by a month. Not that I think that would impact a kid watching the show in any way, kids will watch whatever is on.

But the Netflix deal keeps it on PBS, and episodes will air on PBS the same day they're added to Netflix, so there's no month long delay.

This is how TV should be, specifically sports. It's great having streaming options, but a big part of the appeal/popularity is how easy/basic it is/was to watch.

As it relates to kids shows, while most kids today do just watch streaming things anyways, it's great for all those families who don't have streaming services and/or want a simple way to have shows for their kids.

Things like YouTube kids is a great app for kids to find so many different shows to watch for free, but many times it seems like bigger name shows just have clips/conpiliations on there and not full episodes of shows.

Imagine how horrifying that'd be if it happens one day where all ads you see are literally ads of YOU using their product. A car commercial, you're driving the car! A beer ad, you're drinking their beer having fun at a bar! A banking commercial, you're on vacation because your advisor helped you save money.
