I think I told this memory before but I'll tell it again, this dates back like 15 years. I visited my friend who is now my legal advocate, she had a feral cat problem, we were hanging out on the front porch and one of the cats was messing around in the bushes. Front door doesn't unlock from the outside, so we have to leave it open if we go out.

I thought it would be a good idea to jump out and spook the cat, like he'd get the message and go away. Welp, it was a skunk. We didn't get sprayed, but we bolted like hell to the backyard. We laid low, but realized we were locked out from the backdoor.

so the only entrance back inside was the front door, and we had no clue what was going on with the skunk, so after an hour of cowering in fear we acted like covert ninjas to try and assess the situation, and I'm the worst story teller ever because the anticlimactic result is the skunk was gone and we walked back inside without issue

My building actually installed surveillance cameras today

I doubt it'll curtail any of the activity, but at the minimum it shows they're aware of the problem

I usually see one get posted and immediately give up, like it's a trick and I'll drive myself crazy trying to figure out something that was set up to fool me in the first place, so why bother
