Re: Hurricanes All Access
Miami Hurricanes 2028 Season Preview
Miami is back following back to back national championships and 31 straight wins. The Canes lost some key Seniors this past offseason and will see alot of new starters, but the confidence is just as high in Coral Gables.
Offense:
The Offense is led by All American RB Seth Holmes who may the most explosive player ever to play for the U. He is a star. He's the fastest player in the country and he is deadly in the back field, as a returner, and catching passes. The passing game is where the offense will see the most new faces this year. RS FR Robert Sellers will get the start over SR Nate Bush who has possibly the strongest arm in the country, but Miami feels Sellers is their guy. The WR core has been made up of mostly speedy guys the past few years but Miami has 2 big WRs starting this year on the outside and a few shifty FR in the slots. If the youth doesn't show up Miami can keep the ball rolling.
Defense:
On defense the Canes have talent at every position. Miami has made its mark on their fast pace spread offense but this defense has held the best offenses in check the past few years. With so many new faces on offense this defense will have a chance to earn some respect. Playmakers and ball hawks are all over the field. There are no names to remember because this defense is the definition of "one band, one sound". Expect alot of turnovers and no drop off from a year ago.
Schedule:
The Canes will open up against the #3 Ohio State Buckeyes on opening night as part of the ACC/B1G Challenge. This will be an early test for Miami who is playing a more talented and more experienced team. The Canes will travel to #7 Texas the following week for another huge non conference game. Week 7 will be a road trip against hated instate rival #13 Florida State, and a couple of weeks later the a showdown with #8 Virginia, who will undoubtedly be a top 3 team by then. Tough list of teams who will all give Miami their best shot with hopes of dethroning the King of college football but Miami loves the pressure.
