Pro Strategy Football 2021 Review - Tecmo Super Bowl in Strategy Game Form

I wish we could get a playable football game that used this camera angle. One of the indie games like Sunday Rivals or Legend Bowl should’ve used a broadcast camera to distinguish themselves and give that Tecmo vibe.

Thanks for the review, overall well done and fair.

Just mentioning as it wasn't discussed in the review - a MAJOR feature of the game is its customization. You want a little 8 team league? sure. You want a 16 team league with 3 downs? sure. -- in fact make a league of any size 32 team and under for career play (and leagues of up to 130 teams for season play - and customize the rules). Make your own customized football world if you wish - you can do that. Nobody else has this. There are mods and utilities to help with team and league creation, you can use the in-game editors to create your own, or use a graphics program like photoshop, gimp, etc. to design completely your own and import back into the game.

In part, the game can be a fantasy league creation kit, if you want - you can customize schedules (you want a 10 game season? 16 game? 40 game? - you can do that! ) and play-off formats (to an extent) as well.

(also mentioning that you can essentially design your own play (within constraints) as you play the game - it is that customizable!)

Well you won't have to - it is already being done and is already released in part as a MOD (using 2019 CFL players) + fictional version that has 10th Atlantic team as an option -- though I do think the author intends to do even more work on it (you can find it in the mod's forum on steam for the game :-) ) - the only caveat is the that it is still 11 players on the field (I am pretty sure) and that the field had to be fudged to appear to be a Canadian field - with 55 put in for the 50 yard line (though it is technically still NFL size). But ya, it is 3 down football and the teams and league are all there to be downloaded.

--there may be more CFL specific adjustments to next year's edition as a option.

(oh, also, there is an IOS version, but the base/main version is PC (and it has added functionality/features vs the IOS -- but I do believe it is possible to play on both with the very same league and mods (just switching back and forth with files) while on the road vs at home).

PC, Mac, and iOS (iPhone and iPad). You can also use an app called Steam Remote Play, and play the game from your PC or Mac, directly onto your smartphone or tablet, regardless if it's iOS or Android.

BTW someone is almost done with the CFL, and will post soon in the Steam Community Forum for the game. So if you wanted to hold off until that's released, you may save yourself the time.
