I'd actually want to see what an Asik/Howard combo would look like. It would probably just clog up the middle, but it might be defensively epic. Okay probably not, but I'd still like to see it for entertainment purposes, maybe for a month or two before they trade him.

It's not news period it's just common sense to know that if they got Howard they'd trade Asik, but that source saying he doesn't wanna play with Howard sounds like something that a writer is making up

Re: NBA Offseason Discussion Thread

Im not sure Asik can keep up with all of the PFs in the NBA seeing as alot of them are small or play shooting jumpers.

Defense might be interesting though, but they'll have to shore up the defense on the perimeter because they were crap last year.

This has to have been in the works. And not many teams are going to be chasing Omer. I love Omer, seems like a really nice dude - which is why I'm not surprised he doesn't want to be associated with Plight Howard - but 'dat contract.' Few teams are going to be interested in making that move, and I don't think they have a chance to unload Lin apart from pairing him with Omer.

And I do NOT see Omer coming back to Chicago. I was just informed that people are talking about this? I would eat leather if that happened.

Ah okay... yeah im not on that bandwagon either. I highly doubt he said that, and Ken Berger should know better but he's been pro lakers through this entire ordeal too, so something to consider.

As a Houston Rocket fan and Houston native who's grown up in Atlanta and watched the Hawks consistently...I pray to God we don't pick up Josh Smith. ANYBODY except Josh Smith.

Not sure its any legs behind it

Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA 22m

One trade destination that would appeal to Houston's Omer Asik and Tom Thibodeau: The Chicago Bulls.

Re: NBA Offseason Discussion Thread

Asik is too slow to guard PFs definitely. He's a good center though, easily better than half of the starting centers in the NBA if not top 10 around 7 or so based on last year. Wherever Houston sends him he'll do that team well.
