What are some good tips for shooting in PES. I just started playing a week ago and it seems i only get my headers and break away shots to go in. I cant seem to get much power on my shots. When i fill the power meter up, of course, its a nice rip but waaayyyy over the goal . Any tips for scoring would be great! Thanks guys.

The meter is for the height of the shot, the power depends on the player you are using.

I usually go about 30-40% filled on the meter, and I've gotten some good midrange goals.

Unless your talking about free kicks, the only advice I can give you is to just tap the shoot button. The CPU will take care of the rest. If you hold down the button you'll sky it over the crossbar everytime.

There are a couple other things that affect the shot as well..

1) if they player is running, they tend to kick it with the foot that will hit the ball while in stride. So you'll have a right foot player kicking with the left, etc. Stop the ball, then shoot. Use R2 for this.

2) L1 + R1 will do a tap ahead, so when they kick it, not only will it be more accurate, there will be more power on the shot because they can step into it.

3) You CAN use full power. It's a power meter. But you have to do 1 and 2 to actually put a shot close on net full power. If you want to one-time it into the net, then you have to lay off, and sacrifice some power for accuracy.
