Just noticed that the various boots can affect player stats like shot power/accuracy and acceleration and speed?

Is that true?
Does it add to what the player currently has?

huge, i remember play bal and i was using t90's and scoring lots of goals. When i switched to the vapors, my player started shooting nonsense shots but he was faster than before. I switched back to the t90's 2 games later and my player was shooting properly again.
