I recomend the B.O.C. option file on Pes gaming, itīs really good.
Could you elaborate on what makes it good?

I've been waiting for a deal on the game, and this sounds like a good time.

It plays very realistic to what soccer should feel like. Even with the option file FIFA has much better presentation and career mode which hurts with immersion.

3. The pinpoint passing. Seems like many players have morphed into Pirlo with long range pinpoint passing.

Right now I'm not really enjoying this game too much.
I gotta add the incredible finishing job by basically every single player. Even Levante's and Eibar's strikers are finishing like Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

I go back and forth with which game I enjoy better. At least we get choice not like the football options.

I don't think the patch made the game 20 % better, if it did something it probably made it 10 % better. Still I believe 2017 Pes was a better game, perfect balance of fun & realism. Pes 2018 is a bit more scripted, a bit more Fifa-like in terms of you need to play the game certain way to win, Pes 2017 was more natural.

I disagree. Game is vastly improved after the patch. There are finally many fouls and penalties. You need to adjust tactics in every game and tweak the advanced tactics options otherwise the AI will punish your defense. Goalkeepers are fantastic, ball physics are incredible. Some complain about the AI using too much the chip through ball but this is not right. They will use it frequently if you don't adjust your defense. Tweaking defensive lines, compactness and advanced marking and defensive options forces AI to find other ways in their attack. Also if someone watches Premier League he will right away see that teams use very frequently now this kind of through balls.

All of that doesn't matter if the defensive line keeps retreating instantly like they are now. It's terribly frustrating.

It's really the only thing which is bothering me about the game right now. Sure, I'd still like more fouls, but if the retreating defensive line was fixed, I'd be loving it. I'm currently just enjoying it, but there is still potential for love.
