Ready To Abandon FIFA....Questions

Just switched this year as well, haven't played PES or whatever it was called for about 10-15 years. For me everything except commentary+menu navigation, and presentation is far better on PES! Gameplay destroys Fifa for me and other things are growing on me especially transfer lookup/system.

enjoyed learning this game. gameplay is pretty good. just a different style than what fifa is.

too bad offline myclub features are lacking but that's all games these days.

offline tourney , season, franchise modes are pretty good. for some reason i am enjoying playing a MLS season in PES than in FIFA.

I've made the switch over. Curious which shot controls people use here. Basic, Advanced, or Manual?

I was an all manual guy in FIFA but the seemingly inability to shoot low with Manual in this game has driven me to use Advanced. But then with advanced, I seem to hit the post on damn near every shot lol. 6 or 7 games in and I've scored 0 goals but I've hit the post at least 8 times in the last two games.

I always encourage people who make the switch to start off with basic/assisted controls.

Much like 2k, if you’re unfamiliar with PES the game can seem to “fight you” meaning you can’t do what you want to do. As you get more comfortable you adjust accordingly.

Advanced is cool and you can place shots more accurately once you get it down but it takes some quick fingers IMO.

I started off trying advanced shooting but soon realized I'm not good enough and switched back to basic. I've just now finally gotten where I'm starting to transition from pro difficulty to top player for away matches for the remainder of the season and hopefully full time beginning next season.

UPDATE: Made the switch and absolutely love the career mode. Presentation isn't a huge drop from FIFA and most importantly, the game plays so much better than FIFA. I am a fan!

Quick question re: Master League

Is it like FIFA where your transfer budget/wages budget basically regenerates after each season (so for example, they give me $20 million, I spend all of it, and then the next season I get another $20 million)? Or do I actually have to manage my budget long-term?
