BLEDSOE RELEASED

story here: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/3399066

Quote:
First it was

Jeff Garcia, and now another veteran Pro Bowl quarterback is being given his walking papers.

FOXSports.com has learned the Bills have decided to release quarterback Drew Bledsoe, and they are expected to announce the decision Wednesday, likely at a press conference.

Due to league rules, Buffalo can not officially release Bledsoe until Feb. 22, but the veteran has already been informed of the decision.
Bledsoe is confirming, this looks like JP Losman will be the guy next year, althought Buffalo has the offensive weapons in Evans, Moulds, and McGahee, plus a championship defense i think Losman will take a while to adjust. The Bills will have a season similar to Cinci's this year when Carson Palmer started out, they'll have a sluggish start and maybe have a nice run to finish 8-8 (my prediction)

Either way i thought it was bout time for Bledsoe to go, he's past his prime and pretty much hasn't help the Bills do anything in his 3 years there, i cant see him starting for another team.

Can't really say i'm too surprised with this move. I wonder where he will head next, Dallas is an option. If i'm Dallas i sign him to a 1 or 2 year deal max, though i would think that Dallas wants to rebuild and get an actual franchise qb.

I doubt the Ravens will want Bledsoe. From what I've read, they're sold on Boller and bringing in Bledsoe would only impede the progress he made last year.

Exactly. I wouldn't be too surprised to see him or Garcia in Detroit, though.

As a Cowboys' fan, I guess getting Bledsoe might be a little better than Vinny Testaverde, but only for the short-term. Bledsoe, despite how much he may or may not have left, has perhaps a slightly stronger arm but is less mobile than 41-year-old Vinny, a feat which is next to impossible to accomplish.

Sooner or later, they are going to have to bring on a young gun. They can't just keep recycling Parcells' old boys forever.
