He CLEARLY got hit on the leg. Maybe he exagerrated the impact, which is exactly what he's coached to do. But he was definitely bumped.

That has been a penalty since Red Grange played.

Cowher is a cry baby, now the Steelers fans get to know what it feels like. We went through it last week.

I'm not a Steelers fan but that should not have been a penalty. Joe Nedney took 3 steps forward to ensure that he would draw contact. This isn't the NBA and Joe Nedney is not Michael Jordan.

Man, what kind of dillusional glasses do you and Bill Cowher wear? If you watch the replay you can clearly see that Nedney did not take ANY steps forward.

Re: *** of the Week - Bill Cower

OF COURSE HE ACTED! EVERY kicker in the NFL does this. It wasn't the smartest move to admit that but its not like it should surprise you. Its not like he didn't get touched, and then went down. If he would've done that then of course Cowher would have a legitimate reason to

It was a legit reason to be upset. And he is dead on with what he said about having to explain to an official about the rules.

The officials have had a disasterous year.

Re: *** of the Week - Bill Cower

I don't really want to discuss the running into the kicker thing, but I wanted to point out that that game was actually one of the best officiated games I've seen in a while. Examples:
[*]Instead of being a stubborn ***, Blum calls upstairs to see if you're allowed to review whether the player's knee touched. Nice to see him put the ego aside and make sure the right call was made[*]Picking up the flag on a called pass interference when the ball was thrown 5 yards behind the receiver[*]Not saying that Eddie George had possession when he fell on top of the ball, AND NOT BLOWING THE WHISTLE (at least he wasn't out of bounds)[/list]In fact, the only iffy call I remember was when they flagged the Tenessee guy for helmet to helmet on Hines Ward. And the way the helmets moved, I can see how it might look that way from the angle the official had.

All in all, it was a well reffed game. Besides, don't blame the running into the kicker call. Dewayne "Whiff" Washington blew the game on that missed tackle.
