Hey my Jet fans, should we have let Chad Pennington go?

The CHAD is ON FIRE!!!!!......We know that he doesn't have the strongest arm, but he's very accurate and he's not reckless with the ball (Like Favre) and at 32 years old, he probably has a good 5 more years of good football years in him.

Favre is my boy and all but, he's been very sloppy with the horrible interceptions. I mean yes, he has a cannon arm and can make huge plays, but he can also cost you games with his many interceptions.

I mean the Jets got Favre to get the Super Bowl NOW!! But to me the Jets don't look like a team ready for the Superbowl. They'll make the play-offs but that's about it. And who knows if Favre will be back next season? And if retires after this season, we won't have a Quarterback.

I don't know, sometimes I thing that we should have kept Chad.

Yes, because you guys needed Brett Favre. Chad is the man!

I don't think the Jets NEEDED Favre. Favre brings something different to the table that Chad doesn't have. I think that Chad needed a change of scenery though. It seems to me that he was the scapegoat for the rather conservative playcalling of the Jets which one can still see most of the time even now with Favre at QB. Sure they do a few fancy gadget plays or go for the long bomb every once in a while but it's still a very conservative offense.

I would rather have Chad over Brett everyday of the week. But I am a first down typoe of guy not a big play guy.

I honestly don't think that the Jets would be 5-3 with Chad. Favre brought some new excitement to the team and with his ability to stretch a defense, it's opened up the running game, resulting in some very nice games for Thomas Jones.

I don't think Chad was taking the Jets anywhere. However, at the same time I think that the change of scenery for Chad has helped him tremendously, and has motivated him to be as good as he has been lately.

But, who knows if this success is going to last for Pennington and the Dolphins. I think, at the time, it was the right move for the Jets to get rid of Chad and bring in Favre.
