Week 16: NYJ @ IND

Jets have the defense/pass rush to slow down the Colts' passing attack. All depends on how efficient NY's offense is. It's a must win for the Jets. Should be a fun one.

In other news, WR Anthony Gonzalez has been placed on IR. He's missed the entire season, got hurt on the first play of week 1. He was expected to be back by November, but it kept getting pushed back. Now they've decided to place him on injured reserve.

Sucks. I was hoping to add another weapon to our offense for the Playoffs. lol. Oh well.

Re: Week 16: NYJ @ IND

I actually think it's best that he's done. It wouldn't make a difference to Peyton but trying to work him in with Garcon and Collie could have an effect on all 3. He also hasn't really proven that he's so much better than those two to make it worth the potential issues trying to gel at the most important time in the season. Let him get a fresh start next year.

I'm also not so sure about the Jets D being able to stop the Colts. It'll be interesting to see. Revis makes the secondary's life easier but against Manning and these guys, I don't know if he's enough. We'll see if the pass rush can make up the difference.

That was my initial reaction when I first read the article. Bill Polian said he was working out and might be back at practice this week. He said he should be back by at least the 1st Playoff game. But I guess they thought it's not worth the risk to bring him back now. He's been out all season. Garcon and Collie have filled in nicely. He's not that critical to our offense to risk another injury to him and/or mess up the rhythm of our offense.

We'll see. They need to bring everything at Manning. This is the best defense we'll have faced this season.. right up there with Baltimore who did a pretty good job.

Re: Week 16: NYJ @ IND

Injury list for the Colts(mainly starters):

Probable:
Joseph Addai
Antoine Bethea
Gary Brackett
Donald Brown
Ryan Diem
Jacob Lacey
Peyton Manning
Reggie Wayne

Questionable:
Adam Vinatieri
Robert Mathis
Dwight Freeney
Melvin Bullitt

Doubtful:
Charlie Johnson
Clint Session

Out:
Pierre Garcon
Jerraud Powers
Keyunta Dawson

There's a few others I left out that are mainly 2nd string/3rd string players that not too many people know of.

That's a pretty big list. We could be without 7 starters including Freeney and Mathis. I except everyone on the Probable list to play, though. What the Colts may do with Freeney and Mathis is bring them in during passing situations.

Also, I'm wondering what the Colts are going to do with Matt Stover. Since Adam is now back at practice, questionable this week, he'll be back by the Playoffs at least. They may cut him once Adam returns. I hope not, I like Stover. lol.

Re: Week 16: NYJ @ IND

I think the Jets have a good chance at beating the Colts this weekend. Revis is playing out of his mind and will probably shut down Wayne and that defense is playing good football. If they get past the Jets then I think they'll go 16-0 for the season.

(*cough* and then lose to SD in the AFC championship game *cough*)

TD Colts but Vinatieri's EP is blocked.

Jets win today + win vs Cincy = playoff spot

Manning is clearly passing safely to Wayne to avoid the INT, that endzone pass was tough, but imo was catchable for someone like Reggie.
