Marty Schottenheimer returns to coaching

Maybe with him and Jerry Glanville (Hartford) as coach/GM of 2 teams along with Jim Fassel (Vegas) and Dennis Green (Sacramento) the UFL will show enough promise to last beyond this year. Marty was officially introduced as the head coach and GM of the former Florida Tuskers, now Virginia Destroyers UFL franchise.

Re: Marty Schottenheimer returns to coaching

Marty Schottenheimer may have been the biggest mistake Dan Snyder made. Given the plethora of mistakes that is saying something 8-3 over the last 11 games of a season and fired for the Ol' Ball Coach...still SMFH.

Nice to see Marty back in football in some capacity. Now I kinda wish I have Versus so I can see him doing his thing. I'll find a way to see their games tho.

What a shame that this dude is relegated to the UFL or whatever it is called.

Marty S deserves to be an NFL coach more than most current NFL coaches.

I watched the first two seasons, but won't now that Florida doesn't have a team. I would love to see it last and become a D-League to the NFL.

The Florida team basically folded so they relocated the rights to those players to the Virginia expansion. Jerry Glanville's Hartford Colonials were formerly the New York Sentinels. Dennis Green's Sacramento Mountain Lions were formerly the California Redwoods.

The WFL of the '70s and the USFL in the '80s had teams move ALL the time especially the former.
