Top 10 Quarterbacks, According to ESPN.com

Time for everybody's favorite position debate: The Quarterbacks.

I have no issues with the Top 5 and I don't think anybody really will so most of the discussion will probably be about those rankes 6-10.

I'd take Rodgers over Brees.

Once you get past 6 you're really just splitting hairs.

Yeah, Pretty solid.

The only thing I would change is possibly Rodgers over Brees but there pretty close.

Re: Top 10 Quarterbacks, According to ESPN.com

After the first 6 or so it's really a toss up. Clearly Brady/Manning/Brees/Rodgers/Rivers/Roethlisberger (that's the order I'd put them in) are the elite QBs in the NFL right now. After that there's a dropoff to the next level, all of the next tier guys have their weaknesses and I don't think any of them are at that elite level.

I don't have any major gripes w/ this list.

The top 6 are in the exact order I would take them in.

There is a pretty big drop off after Rivers so I'm not even going to debate it.

Funny how much one season can change opinions, last year it was without a doubt Brees was 3rd and maybe just maybe higher. Not saying Rodgers isn't good just making an observation, 1-4 is also splitting hairs just a matter of overall experience

I still absolutely like Brees better than Rodgers after last year and I absolutely despise the Saints.

Nobody but Peyton or Brady should even be considered for the top 2 until further notice though.

Yeah it is. They're close, no doubt. I think Rodgers leading the team through all those injuries and a having a terrible running attack showed a lot. Brees puts up the numbers though.

For me it comes down to the fact that Rodgers has the extra ability to make a play with his feet when he needs to. Whether it's making a big throw on the run or taking big chunks of yards running. Brees just doesn't have that in his arsenal the way Rodgers does.
