Giants/Cardinals?

I guess nobody really got worked up for this one, but it's on tv, so we might as well talk about it. The Giants are hanging around and I have a feeling they can win this.

Haha, that one hurt. But whatever. The look on Fitz's face after the game said it all.

One of the worst calls I have ever seen and 1) I'm a Skins fan & 2) had the Giants in a suicide pool.

Mike Perreirra said that Cruz had basically given up so the play is dead, WTF?

Perreirra is the dude in the booth that Fox asks his opinion of for all challenges right? I thought he said he was surprised that they made the call that they did because he said it was more like the Plaxico Burress play when he was with the Steelers where he made a diving catch and then set the ball down to celebrate without anyone having touched him.

Really really weird rule and an even weirder interpretation of the rule.

That was the exact play I thought of when I saw the Cruz play. He got away with one here. Leaving the ball on the turf is not as stupid as spiking the ball, but his stupid play should have had the same result as Plax's.

Re: Giants/Cardinals?

Cruz and Eli both said they were surprised it wasnt called a fumble.

But wth happened to the Cardinals D at the end of the game? 2 TD's in 58 seconds to lose the game??? Thats 2 TD's in a minute by a Kevin "Wishes he could run the wishbone on the pro level" Gilbride coordinated offense? SHAME Arizona...just shame.

Re: Giants/Cardinals?

the nfl is full of rules that stumble over themselves...
to name a few:

1. the tuck rule needs to go.

2. hands to the face/facemask is a penalty but a ball carrier can mug a defenseman all over his mask and call it a stiff arm.

3.now the nonsense that happened in this game.
