Week 9: Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers

ROUND TWO!

Steelers are playing tricks with their injured players. I think Harrison is definitely out but Woodley's story changes every day.

Haven't heard any new news on Ben Grubbs for the Ravens. The Oline appears night and day without him. It also worries me that the Steelers went to a pressing man gameplan to stop the Pats... the same gameplan that's been an issue for the Ravens against three lesser teams this year. Hopefully PIT has a bit of a let down after the big win over the Pats.

Grubbs' status is the biggest issue for me.
The influence of him missing would be lessened by the absence of Harrison, but we need him to play.
In order to have the best chance of winning I think we also have to utilize Dickson (and Pitta) in the passing game.

Personally I think the big win over NE has as much relevance as our big week one win.

Penalties could once again be huge. I could easily see the game being decided by a 15 yard penalty.

Re: Week 9: Ravens at Steelers

I'd be shocked if Woodley plays, and Deebo is out for sure. With 2 of the best OLB's in the business, and Farrior out on the inside, it's slim pickings. I would not be surprised to see some 4-3 with Kiesel dropping back to OLB. Should be interesting to see if Flacco and Rice can take advantage of the leftovers they'll face. Hopefully the secondary plays man again, as the zone blitz will have no shot in this game.

If Sanders is good to go, then maybe Ward can be cheerleader again. No disrespect, but I would rather see the 3 young guys out there again, instead of old and slow.

I'd be shocked if they didn't go tight man most of the game. And I think they're better without Ward at this point too. So much speed outside with Miller solid underneath. Is love to see Ward get smacked in the mouth again too but I bet he sits.

This is gonna be a tough game for sure, even without the Steelers LB corp being decimated by injuries. I think the Steelers come out mad and ready to avenge the beatdown Baltimore gave them in week one. It'll be hard-nosed smashmouth football at its finest.

I think these two teams have kind of gone in opposite directions since the week one beatdown, I think the Steelers win this. Can't wait though, and I'll be rooting for the Ravens.. funnest rivalry in the league except for Brady vs. Peyton for me.
