Week 17: San Francisco 49ers (11-4) at Arizona Cardinals (10-5)

This could be a huge game; it could be relatively meaningless.

Niners could be playing for a division title and the top seed with a little help. Cardinals could be playing for a wild-card spot with a little help.

Edit: Got to give the Cards credit. I thought they'd be bringing up the rear in a tough division. But they've had a great season.

The Panthers and Saints game really came back to bite the Niners.

That penalty on Brooks may cost the Niners a bye and the Cardinals a playoff spot.

Really hope the Cardinals show up to play with their A game and take this, combined with the Bucs beating the Saints to knock them out.

I just think the Cardinals have finished the season the right way winning 7 of their last 8 and getting hot at the right time. While the Saints have been a 5-5 team since starting 5-0 and have been awful on the Road this season. I don't feel they deserve to be in the Play Offs.

Unlikely, but hey it could happen.

I thought the NFL was one of the few sports where every single game mattered, now were saying late season wins are worth double?

For the record, I've already accepted that the Saints are one and done most likely even if they do make it.

Who said that exactly? Wins late arent worth double but its a lot better to be going into the playoffs playing well and on a winning streak then to back in playing poorly and hoping to turn it around come playoff time.

I really hope they get rid of divisions and just go with the best records eventually. It's a shame that either Arizona or New Orleans will have to miss the playoffs after the years each team has had.
