Week 11 MNF: New England Patriots (7-2) @ Carolina Panthers (6-3)

Carolina looks to increase its win streak to 6 after the biggest win for the franchise since 2008 last week in San Fran. Cam has struggled of late, but he looked sharp in the 2nd half against the 49ers. Steve and Lafell have had a case of the drops throughout the season, and Olsen is a bit banged up, but the run game has been terrific, and Ginn has given the team great field position consistently in the return game (when he gets his chances).

New England is once again at the top of the AFC East. Brady is doing Brady things now that GROOOOOOOOOOOOOONK is back. The Pats are fresh off of a bye after dropping 55 on Pittsburgh, so there isn't much of a question whether the offense is in rhythm.

I'm not totally sure what to expect. NE has typically struggled with active front 4/7s in the past as Brady isn't as effective when he has to worry about getting hit (like any QB). GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOONK is about uncoverable, so it'll be interesting to see what Rivera and the defensive staff come up with to slow him down. NE's defense has played well this year, but they're out their 3 best defenders, so Carolina should be able to take advantage.

I'm taking the Panthers 24-13.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Go Panthers for what I'm assuming is the same reason as jmood.

How many years has it been since a Pats win was considered an upset?

I actually thought it might have been the Bengals game, but that was a pick'em.

Tonight's game is meaningless. I think we win. A loss doesn't change how I feel going forward either. Everything will play itself out. All comes down to us against Denver in the AFC championship game. Home field advantage is the only thing we're playing for going forward.
