Week 11: Detroit Lions (6-3) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (3-6)

Usually you'd expect these records to be flipped. While they aren't all that great this year, Steelers are one of those teams like the Giants that I think can sneak up on you.

Big Ben says that he has to be careful this week playing against Suh and Fairley or he'll likely end up dead. Suh has assured him that there will be no killing on the field this week.

Time to build this division lead up. Go Lions!

Re: Week 11: Detroit Lions (6-3) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (3-6)

This game is pretty big for both teams. If Detroit wins they can expand on their lead in the NFC North while the Packers and Bears deal with injuries. If Pittsburgh wins they keep their season alive and their slim playoff hopes alive as well.

I'm more concerned with the Lions passing attack than I am the Lions pass rush. I'll be surprised if Stafford doesn't go for over 300 yards. I don't see Bush having a big day, I think the Steelers will do a good job with him and the rest of the Lions rushing attack. Steelers are going to have a force a turnover or two to stay in this game. I'm thinking the Lions jump out to an early lead, the Steelers claw back before the Lions put it away in the 4th with a late touchdown.

DET - 27
PIT - 17

Ike isn't Optimus Prime, this one could get scary passing wise.

Honestly, after the win last week over the Bears to take the division lead, I fully expect the Lions to lay an egg Sunday. This is just the classic Lions tripping over themselves game. I think the offense will be flat, there will be drops and turnovers. Defense will commit more stupid penalties than normal (which is scary), and allow too many big plays. The offense is still good enough to not get blown out (hopefully), but I'm leaning heavily toward the Steelers.

Something like 31-23

You're giving the Steelers offense A LOT of credit they probably don't deserve. Suh and Fairley are going to have a field day.

I think Steelers pull out a late win. Lions are the ultimate tease. Just when you think things look good they snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. They tried it against the Bears and can never seem to put teams away no matter who it is.

This has trap game written all over it. Coming off of a big win, going on the road, looking past the Steelers to the Thanksgiving game, ect. The Lions have two great opportunities against Pitt and next week at home against Tampa to pad their record before Green Bay comes to town.

I should have made the 4 hour trip to see this game. Nonetheless I'm optimistic the Lions will pull this off.
