Week 9: Washington Redskins (3-5) @ Minnesota Vikings (3-5)

Well, whoever wins might juuuust start thinking about becoming relevant at the end of the year and flirting with the idea of snatching a Wild Card spot.

Was the last time these two teams played the game where RGIII ran for that 50+ yard TD run to ice the game? That wasn't fun. What's his prognosis, anyways?

I feel like the last time they played was after the last win the Skins had last year.

RGIII is "very, very, very" close to returning according to Gruden. With a bye right after the game and TB on the other side of it, it may be hard to resist sitting him even if he is ready. But there's also the chance at going into the bye on a 2 game winning streak, with TB after the bye for a shot at .500. I think it'll be more clear after today's practice.

What's up with Patterson?

On the radio today, they said that Patterson was expected to be a full participant in practice for the rest of the week. So he will almost certainly be playing on Sunday.

Thought you forgot that game happened the way you disappeared from that thread.

By the way, Vikings are the favorite in this game.

Bobert scheduled to start this Sunday according to "sources".

I'm not ready to believe it just yet but that was just announced on 106.7

Skins will lose this game. They have a short week and the Dallas game is always an emotional one. Hasslet only seems to scheme up a good plan vs Romo.

If Griffin plays I think he is beyond rusty and tries to force things given McCoy won last week. If McCoy plays I think the game is closer but it's just hard to travel back to back weeks and win on the road as a middle of the pack team.

With Griffin:
28-13 Vikes

With McCoy
17-14 Vikes.

Can't disagree with the thought process BUT I also don't trust the Vikings D to contain the skins passing game, and can see the Skins pressuring Teddy like they did the Jags.

I'm with you on a close game but think that's with either guy playing and the winner going either way. Both teams CAN win, but both will do things to make it less likely. If Griffin plays within himself I think the Skins win going away... but you see how much confidence there is in that happening.

Agree with that too. Skins have a lot of weapons in the passing game dare I say too many to cover DJax, Garçon, Reed, Helu and to a lesser extent Roberts. I just don't trust this group to go on any sort of winning streak, nor to I trust Hasslet to have two dynamic schemes in a row. He is literally at his best vs Romo. Funny thing is I called the Skins beating Dallas (not on OS but FB).

I just don't trust THIS team...yet.
