How does this punk think he can get away with wearing #66? How could the Flames even let him pick that number? What a joke.

Dude - chillax man. He was given the number by the team presumably because he's not going to stay with the big team for the season. Unless they're planning to keep you, you're not getting a real jersey number

And BTW - I'm a big Lemieux fan too, but the last time I checked, his number wasn't retired across the NHL

Nope, only Gretzky's 99 is retired around the league. Either because he was so amazing, or because he played for so many damn teams or they just decided to retire it for all teams.

Never been a fan of retiring numbers league wide, do it for the teams they played on, if someone on the Flames wants to wear 66 they should be able to, I wouldn't be opposed to anyone wearing 99 either unless it was a team Gretzky played for and they retired it.
