Babcock for sure will find another coaching job. It's the NHL, coaches get recycled so many times.

But that Marner story is crazy. As good of a coach as Babcock is/was, just didnt seem like the right one here.

Matthews getting reduced minutes at times, Hyman being THE go to guy in a series clinching game despite him playing on 1 leg, now the Marner incident too.

It's best for everyone to bring in Keefe. If they fail again, it's on the players. Cant blame 2 diff coaches for your lack of success. And shouldn't blame a GM for putting together a team who many say can and should be a top 5 team.

Tonight I'm going to my once-per-decade Canucks/Oilers game to finally see 22-year-old Connor McDavid in person. The 1st time I saw this matchup live, the Edmonton goals were scored by 22-year-old Jari Kurri, 22-year-old Mark Messier, and 21-year-old Wayne Gretzky. In the 4-3 Canucks win (!), 20-year-old Grant Fuhr was outduelled by King Richard Brodeur. In a game that featured Tiger Williams, Kenny Linseman, and Dave Semenko, the only fight (the 1st one I'd seen live) involved local folk hero Gary Lupul (who was generously listed at 5'9", 170) and 21-year-old Paul Coffey!

NOTE: Lupul had a habit of challenging Hall-of-Famers. He was Mario Lemieux's opponent in Le Magnifique's 1st NHL "fight".

Jost is awful, Avs really need him to start playing well so they can package him in a deal for Taylor Hall.

Flyers gotta stop playing down to their competition. I'm not sure if it's taking opponents for granted or what. Just not coming out strong enough against lesser teams. Seem to play the upper echelon teams just fine for the most part. Strange.

Tkachuk absolutely loses his mind at the end of the Flyers/Sens game giving them no chance to win. I loved how Laughton got under their skin and especially his. Cheap shot on Konecny ... hope he's not laid up too long. He's been integral.

Addendum: he has a concussion.
