And Cincy won again 2-0.

Just a calamity of a season for my dudes. Fewest points we've ever had after 23 games. There's got to be a total house cleaning after the year ends.

Re: MLS Discussion Thread

That's how you end a playoff game.

Re: MLS Discussion Thread

I see the top-seeded New England Revolution didn't bother to crush their fans hopes by losing a sixth MLS Cup Final. Went out in their first playoff game instead. It's almost an insult to the Buffalo Bills to call NE the Buffalo Bills of the MLS.

Lots of upsets in the playoffs so far but I'm not sure I'm a fan of the one game playoff format for each round.

Re: MLS Discussion Thread

I definitely prefer the two-leg format for playoffs.

I haven't watched much MLS this season, but I've kept up with standings throughout. I plan on watching the Final today, although I feel for Union not being there after being ravaged by Covid last week.

Re: MLS Discussion Thread

TFC looks like they're signing Lorenzo Insigne.

I dont know much about soccer, but people seem to be saying it's a bigger deal than Giovinco, so that's big for them.

Re: MLS Discussion Thread

He'll have to be a major star for TFC for it to be a better deal than Giovonvo ended up being, but the signing itself is definitely much larger! Insigne plays legit minutes for Napoli and played major minutes for Italy in Euro 2020 recently. I've heard they're going after Belotti too.

As bad as they were this year, making a major signing like that combined with a 3rd overall pick in the draft does seem like they could turn things around fairly quickly.

I don't think its confirmed yet. Apparently the offer is for $12 million, according to always reliable Twitter. That's a lot of coin. They're going to need a lot more than him to turn it around -- the defense was a catastrophe last season.
