Nations League discussion

I was going to just name it UEFA, but with CONCACAF Nations League set to begin for the 2019-20 season, and the Africa Cup of Nations being a thing, this can house the new normal for Interlulls, the Nations Leagues! Action is set to commence tomorrow (on ESPN2 and ESPN+!)

Thursday's slate of games includes Germany vs France, and I'm hoping Czech Republic vs Ukraine will be a good game.

Friday's docket contains Italy vs Poland, Turkey vs Russia, and footballing luminary nations Azerbaijan and Kosovo.

Saturday's fun includes England vs Spain, and the mighty Iceland vs Switzerland

Sunday will have the bloodbath of Wales vs Denmark's fully amateur team, and France vs Netherlands

Monday has a barn burner in Portugal vs Italy

Tuesday's finale sees Spain and World Cup Finalist Croatia battle, as well as the might San Marino(for FM fans) vs Luxembourg!

Wondering how the UEFA Nations League works? Me too! Thankfully you can click here

Get hype, maybe, or not.

Re: Nations League discussion

There's going to be plenty of barn burners in UEFA Nations League Group D.

I'm interested to see how they approach the games.

Hopefully, it will generate some interest in those countries that are use to being buried in Euro/World Cup qualifying.

Re: Nations League discussion

Denmark is currently playing a friendly with a bunch of amateur and futsal players you've never heard of because they are having a disagreement over image rights with their pro players.

Surprised they only lost 3-0.

They should raise the stakes in this bottom group so all teams go all out to win.

In Tiers 1 2 and 3, the bottom 4 teams get relegated. For Tier 4 the bottom 4 should have their UEFA registration revoked. It will be a bloodbath!

But that would take away all the teams available to be drawn into a Switzerland qualifying group.
