That might get re-taken. He came off the line early.
I guess not.

Klopp with the blazing speed onto the pitch. I don't think I've ever been that excited about anything in my life.

Just hoping that it wasn't called because it's the Supercup and who cares.

Thought they actually made a good change to get more strict about keeper and player positioning during penalty kicks.

Re: 2019-20 UEFA Competitions Thread

I do wonder if they would have overturned an earlier one that didn't have the players and staff rushing down the field.

It's really tough on the keeper if the player does a late hesitation. I think if you're expecting the keeper to keep one foot on the line, the taker should have to maintain a consistent run up.

I also don't think it should be automatic. I thought the way it was called at the Women's World Cup was too nit-picky. If the keeper gains an obvious advantage, sure call it.

I see what you're saying but that gives refs way too much wiggle room to make a bad call. The handball rule is changing slowly because there is far too much interpretation. Imo it's better to be nit-picky and have clear and concise rules.

A penalty in the West Ham v City game was retaken for the keeper coming off the line and encroachment. It was great to see it being enforced.

I wouldn't have been mad if they cleared the field and had Tammy retake it. But at least the reason it was saved wasn't because Adrian was off the line by a foot. It was just an awful penalty.
