I was using a steelseries controller the analogs are a bit stiffer and was having issues. i switched to a ps4 controller and it seems to be a little more consistent.

For putting I just go REALLY slow back and forth. Usually I get w/ in 3-4 feet of the hole even on long putts. Default distances for putts also seem a bit strong especially for uphill / downhill...

Putt tempo is about the only tempo I dont struggle with. I seem to have to swing faster for chips, but then sometimes it flies way past the hole even in like 65% rough.
