Re: What's the scoop with Felix Hernandez?

Wow..great job. :spit: Over 113 IP in playoffs, he finds a moment where Mo loses his cool. In 13 IP for Hoff, I'll find at least two. Yeah, as we can see, these guys are cut from the same cloth....

Re: What's the scoop with Felix Hernandez?

Quiet now, BK got a following here. They come out the works quickly with their clever little witty remarks. The whole peanut gallery, from P all the way to the T.

Re: What's the scoop with Felix Hernandez?

This is your legacy right here? He's from the same era as Mo, but he's not even worthy of being called a pimple on Mo's ***. So what kind of a baseball fan call this guy one of the best closers in...

Re: What's the scoop with Felix Hernandez?

I can't believe you even tried making this argument. What Trevor Hoffman faced the same quality compettition, or was he the playoffs savior?

Re: What's the scoop with Felix Hernandez?

Are you kidding me? We're talking about NL West. Trevor Hoffman had the advantage of pitching in a weak division. NL West was a joke, still is to this day. Correct me if I'm wrong. :nono:

Re: What's the scoop with Felix Hernandez?

It's ok. The 1998 run was pretty good. Other than that, I would be hardpressed to use the term "dominating" when speaking about his dominance for instance, and someone like Mariano. Two worlds...

Re: What's the scoop with Felix Hernandez?

I know the definition of overrated and would apply it when speaking about Trevor Hoffman's ballot to the Cooperstown.

Re: What's the scoop with Felix Hernandez?

What credit? Trevor Hoffman is overrated. Nothing is dazzling about him or the Padres, other than maybe 1998.... Of course, how can I forget that?! :nono:

Re: Give Isaiah Thomas some credit: Please

There's your problem. You're giving Layden credit for the hay days of the trio: Spree, H20, and Ewing. It wasn't because of Layden that we made the playoffs. Never was.

Re: Give Isaiah Thomas some credit: Please

Last time we were in the playoffs, I remember loved seeing double-headers on NBC Saturday...that was in 2001, still with Layden. This team no longer has Houston, Spree, KT, nor Camby...then again...

Re: Season of Spending: 2007 Chicago Cubs

Wow...Is Soriano really stinking up for you guys? 1Rbi, 11 SO, 11 hits, .234 Avg, .280 OBP

Hopefully he gets out this slump.

Re: Website that I can get Vehicle VIN's for free?

To be honest, I would have loved to know a couple of alternatives to carfacts...but sometime you just have to pay. I don't think anything out there will help you out much...and probably not for free...

Re: Tri-Staters: Is M&MD permanantly on 6-10am now?

His relationship status is intriguing enough for Steve Somers to once give Jerome $60 to take a lady out on a date, only for Jerome to keep the money and not go out on the date

haha I love Steve's...

Re: What's the scoop with Felix Hernandez?

Lol. Nice to know all the fans come out the woodshed once they could "clinch" on something. In this case, the rally monkey is no longer with us. http://www.gutter-ball.com/Images/rallymonkey300.jpg

Re: Tri-Staters: Is M&MD permanantly on 6-10am now?

Yeah, Doris sounded like a genuinely nice lady. Jerome, last I heard he had problem with cancer or someone within his family had medical problems/treatment? Did he really die? He didn't even sound...
