I suppose it's a principal thing more than anything else. Purchasing Madden while its under an exclusive license allows EA and the NFL to say fans are happy with the Madden and the licensing...

Ask me again when the licensing situation is settled for Madden 15. I'll buy Madden 25 for both if I know I have options to look forward to next year, otherwise I'll pass.
