Hmm. I'm willing to give it a few episodes to see what it's like. The only other Berserk series is the old 90's one, but it only goes up an early part of the manga.

Finished "Zankyou no Terror". It's an amazing show, although it hits a touchy subject in dealing terrorism. Shinichirou Watanabe(Bebop, Space Dandy) directs and Yoko Kano handles the music.

Unicorn is solid, a stand alone seven part OVA series. Unicorn is in the UC Gundam timeline, but you shouldn't be too lost going into it.
