This is what I think too, what I meant in my previous post is that I don't think counterpicking will happen nearly as much as some people think it will. Since character tiers are much closer together...

I think the issue of counterpicks is being way overblown here. With the stats now being much more balanced you won't be forced to pick Werdum against Cain anymore to have a fighting chance. I...

In most fighting games with double pick, quitting out during character selection gives you an automatic loss, and if your opponent isn't willing to switch either until the timer runs out the game...

What's "proper matchmaking" then? If we're going by OVRs then a Scoggins will never face a DJ, which is not always what you want if you want to show off. Worse still, I can see that being abused by...

This is exactly what I'm afraid of, even when stat differences matter less. With blind picking, people will most likely go for the safe option, and I think this is much worse than the counter picking...

You said yourself the roster is far more balanced, so the counterpicking problem is really overblown if you ask me.



I agree, it would be cool that way in order to make a good stylistic matchup...

Oh yes. Back in the EA MMA days this wasn't the case and you could easily cherry pick opponents. I remember that when I got to a high ranking, I would have to wait up to 20 minutes before someone was...
