I know what you mean, the lunge back causes almost the same animation as a pull counter sometimes but doesn't seem to add the vulnerability damage. I've really been liking planted single strikes...

Planted roundhouse to the head barely has a wind up, and can't be caught? You must have read that wrong or something. I also said lunge back then leg kick so that they aren't on the inside anymore...

Someones pushing me with block held? I lunge back throw a leg kick, it lands and hurts. Do it again. Then I lunge back and throw a planted roundhouse and they eat it while walking forward because...

I don't feel there's an issue with any of this. Sometimes if someone pushes me against the cage I can lunge back once or twice, circle out and push them into the cage myself. Block should not slow...
