Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

I was at that game too, but I didn't count it because it was the strike season. Lambeau wasn't even sold out for that game. JJ ran a post and Dickey hit him perfectly.

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

I can agree with most of this, however, Magic's led Packers never made the playoffs. They beat the Bears on a last second play with no instant replay and controversy. Even the Bears media guide...

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

I can understand how you might feel that way, but I would hardly call Bledsoe, Martin and Glenn chopped liver.

Favre, like Elway and Marino, never really had a Rice or Moss to throw to. He made...

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

I'll agree with the first part, but not the second part imo.

Favre was a second round draft choice that no one knew about when he was drafted. For Favre to raise the Packers up from 30 years of...

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

As you said, Favre took his chances and was undisciplined for many years. Holmgren and McCarthy have a way with Favre to become more disciplined then the other coaches did. ie Sherman and Rhodes.

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

Ok, but again, appears some people like to focus "on his wilder days" in the past instead of recognizing he's been sober for 8 years.

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

I wasn't specifically addressing you, I was addressing yves, who seems to adore coming up with negatives from the Favre era, one by one, which are fiction and non-fiction.

However , if I would be...

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

Let's see, another Bears fan with obvious bias.

Yeah, as a Bears fan, I can see why you would see more negatives than positives that Favre has given the fans.

He's also a first ballot HOF. Not...

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

I can agree with most of this.

It's easy to blame Favre in Philly for the duck, but you and I both know the Packers lost the game before that. Remember 4th and 26. Bear fans seem to want to...

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

Is that all timer going to the HOF on his first try?

Nobody is ranking Favre as number 1, but BK said you "could" make a case for him being #1.

It's not all about the rings, either. Like BK...

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

Yes, I've seen QB's scramble such as Tarkenington and lose sight of where they were and threw it away or tried to throw it with someone open.

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

Thanks for that thoughtful insight on Favre. Haven't seen you around much, Feeq. Welcome back.

He had 2 int's today and they still won. Would that have happened last year? I doubt it.

I...

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

I've seen plenty in my lifetime. I won't say every QB does it, but I'm not buying Favre's the only one that's been caught either.

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

That ducking contact was to allow is friend Strahan to become the all-time sack leader. Shameful or not, or throwing a pass 5 yds pass the LOS, which QB hasn't done that.

I think Favre has left...

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

Ranking QB's is like ranking everyone's favorite band. It's all subjective.

There is too much criteria, stats, clutch, 4th quarter comebacks, SB rings, etc..... to determine the greatest QB of...

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

No one can argue those qb's ranking in the NFL. I'll go old school and mention Johnny U, Starr and Tarkenington weren't bad, either.

BK, who do you think had the stronger arm, Elway or Favre? I...

Re: Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time....

NP, the Vikes and the Pack have had some epic battles. The Vike are becoming more of a rivalry than the Bears are.

Bottom line, rating qb's is subjective. There are a ton of areas you can rate a...
