How so? Emmitt had more attempts per game than Sanders or Payton when he played for the Cowboys.

Payton's per game numbers are much better than Emmitt's with a much worse supporting cast. Nobody is saying Emmitt is terrible, he is one of the greatest RB's of all time. But...

Me too, given that he was a tremendous goalline runner in college and in his early years.

Barry is definately the best I've seen. Never seen Sweetness in his prime but he was definately superior to Emmitt.

What he did in Bobby Ross' offense proved his greatness to me.
