Tenjou Tenge (anime) has good fights but wow talk about a non-ending. Even the OVA doesnt offer the slightest sense of closure. The manga is probably the way to go, though I read that theres two...

I recently watched Vampire Hunter D & Bloodlust, both were pretty good, I probably liked the first more.

Probably started really getting into anime with Dragonball back in the day, then DBZ and Tenchi Muyo!. Those are also just about the only series where I want the english dubs, everything else...
