You are completely correct but the situations arent exactly the same. EA attempted to completely change the series with NBA Elite and it derailed the franchise for years to the point where people...

Disappointing but this could pay off next year. Hopefully they didn't waste their time over the past year and put in work that will benefit the game for next gen. By not releasing a game this year...
