Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

Still wondering if EA is aware of this. Sicne it's not a bug/glitch how should it be reported?

Seems like it's a perfect candidate for a tuner. Get that coach prestige to slooooowwww down and...

Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

From what I understand it was mostly high AWR that was driving the OVR.

The problem was that more than half the 99 rated players were QBs in many years. Easily fixed by editing but it'd be nice...

Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

So the consensus seems to be that patching the coach progression (slowing it down) is the fix we need.

Possibly tuning progression so the 99s aren't QBs so often as well.

I think the coach...

Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

Here, here.

And if people think it's too high there's a player editor (FINALLY) so they can take 10-15 minutes to lower some of those 90 plus players to their liking.

Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

Then use the player editor. Should take 2-3 minutes.

Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

Exactly. People have to put things in perspective. Barely 5% of the players are 90 plus OVR, that's realistic. 10-14 Elite teams a season is 10% of the NCAA.

Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

Same here. I'll lower the AWR on some of the QB/K/Ps and up it on some other positions for some balance. Should take about 10 minutes an off-season.

Thank goodness they added player editing!!! ...

Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

Agreed. But that's where the ability to edit players comes in handy. if I see Alabama with 3 90 OVR RBs I will cut down one and amp up a HB at a rival school if needed like Auburn for example.

I...

Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

No worries man, I have gone back and forth as well until I slowed down and looked carefully.

300 sounds like a huge number until you look at what % that represents. I think the game ships with...

Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

The more I look at the numbers the more I think we've been looking at this wrong. When you consider the players are ranked 50-99 OVR, an even distribution would be 20% in each bracket (50-59, 60-69,...

Evan you are a good man! A man of science.

Anyone else willing to run these same tests? I got too much going on this afternoon.

Keeping in context there's 8000 players in the game these...
