I understand your gripe. I think everyone here can acknowlege that the CPU gameplay is unbalanced when playing against human opponents, BUT you using coach mode puts a whole different spin on this. ...

You might also want to look at man coverage and zone coverage ratings. I've seen starting corners rated higher overall on a roster, but the man/zone coverage were poor when compared to backups.

Also, from what I understand, awareness plays into a defender's ability and likelihood to make a play on the ball in the air.
