Ok, so I did a few test in Madden 07 and the CPU draft logic does revolve around player roles. For example, I started a season with default rosters and the Raiders selected a QB in the 1st round...

Thats actually a very good observation. Never really viewed it that way. When I was playing yesterday, I noticed Lee Evans was a "go-to-guy" and him and Brady Quinn have hooked up 170 times over...

The Player Roles were a thing of beauty. I also remember my team taking a morale hit when I traded a "fan favorite" in order to obtain a 2nd and 5th round pick in the draft. Was it worth it? No,...

IMO the player roles were perhaps one of the most innovative features madden has implemented into franchise. I hope they bring this back in this years installment.
