COWBOYS CORNER

First of all as the new coach of the Dallas Cowboys I would like to say how much of a pleasure it is to be here and will do my best to bring the organization back to a perennial powerhouse in the NFL. Jerry (Jones) has given me full power of both coaching and the front office and some changes are to come.

Re: COWBOYS CORNER

In the wake of Tony Romo getting injured with a dislocated knee, the Dallas Cowboys turned to Case Keenum out of Houston and have cut Brandon Weeden due to his inability to grasp the offense.

****NEWS BREAK**** Dez Bryant calls off negotiations with the Dallas Cowboys organization. The Cowboys will hear offers on the STAR receiver before placing the franchise tag on Bryant.

Re: COWBOYS CORNER

COWBOYS EYE RETURN OF ROMO

The Dallas Cowboys have been without starting quarterback Tony Romo since their week 2 win against the titans. The Cowboys are 1-2 in Romo's absence with Houston native Case Keenum and rookie Taj Boyd filling in until week 7. The Cowboys have also been without defensive captain MLB Sean Lee who returns this week against the Seattle Seahawks.

With Dez Bryant's future uncertain in Dallas, the offense hasn't been running any different and he is still the preferred target and for good reason. The Cowboys front office are still hearing offers for the physical receiver, but it looks like they will franchise tag him and workout a contract next season.

With the division up for grabs, the NFC East will be an interesting division to watch in the upcoming weeks.

Re: COWBOYS CORNER

COWBOYS TAKE LEAD IN NFC EAST

The Cowboys lead the entire game from the opening drive on. Offensive captain Tony Romo lead the cowboys offense on drive after drive, and continued his streak to 8 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. His main targets were Dez Bryant who ended the game with 106 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Jason Witten who has been Romo's security blanket for years. Demarco Murray had 74 yards on 21 carries and managed to score in the 3rd quarter on a clutch drive.

The redskins seemed out of sync all day and it showed on the scoreboard. The redskins only ran the ball 8 times while throwing a ton with 35 attempts. The only bright parts of the day were when "the hand of god" came down and took control of Pierre garçons body which ended in a 49 yard touchdown reception, and the same with Andre Roberts. Both players rumored to be suspended for dabbling in witchcraft and voodoo.....go figure....

COWBOYS CONQUER NFC EAST

The Cowboys have finished the season with a 12-4 record (6-0) in division. They also have 3 players on the MVP Ballot in QB Tony Romo (1st QBR NFL), WR Dez Bryant (#1 Receiving Yards & Receiving TDs in NFL), and RB Demarco Murray (5th Rushing yards & 3rd rush TDs).

This team is going into the playoff boasting the highest scoring offense in the league, and can score in many ways. They have a young and strong offensive line for Murray to run behind, and a young WR core in Bryant and 2nd year Terrance Williams and have one of the top Tight ends in Jason Witten.

The Cowboys rely on the high powered offense so they can play a conservative style of defense, which lets up a lot of yards and sometimes points. The Cowboys will be changing up the game plan going into the post season that relies on controlling the clock and time of possession to keep their defense off the field as much as possible.

The Cowboys are in contention to have a 1st rnd bye which would let them game plan that much more for their first playoff opponent.
