WWE 2011 Alternate Universe | EWR

    July 2011

At the conclusion of the Money in the Bank pay per view, the wrestling world was left stunned as CM Punk became the WWE Champion, and then with one final blow of a kiss to Vince McMahon, Punk took the championship, went through the crowd and walked out on the company.

We find ourselves now waiting to see what will happen, will WWE be able to lure Punk back? Will they crown a new champion and just try to move past this historic situation?

We await to see how things will unfold in this new era of WWE with so many questions up in the air.

        Company Shakeups

With so many questions around what will happen with CM Punk and the WWE championship seeming to be gone, WWE officials have announced a few moves and changes to do some "housecleaning" and to "trim the fat" in the company with the following changes:

WWE will no longer be airing NXT Redemption, or WWE Superstars.

Wanting to refocus on what made the company so successful, focusing on its 2 big shows Raw and Smackdown, WWE did not feel the need to continue Superstars.

As for NXT Redemption, it will be reassigned as WWE's developmental program and focus solely on building the future of the company.

The WWE Board of Directors has also come out with a list of superstars who have been released. These superstars are all leaving on good terms and could find their way back one day but for now they are being let go:

          BREAKING NEWS

Since we last reported that WWE was in the midst of trying to sort out its future with questions surrounding the wwe title, with CM Punk walking away with it, it is now being reported that WWE Board of Directors, the McMahon family, and key backstage officials spent all night after Money in the Bank discussing how to proceed and have worked out a plan and made the following announcement:

"With past superstars being selfish and not doing what is best for business, WWE is officially stripping CM Punk of the WWE title since he is no longer under contract to us.

That being said we at WWE see this as a huge opportunity and have decided that we are going to take this time to completely change the landscape of our company.

Effective immedietely, WWE is officially vacating every championship we have, the WWE Championship, the World Championship, the US championship, Intercontinental Championship, Tag Team Championship and Divas Championship.

The last two, the Tag Team and Divas titles are not just vacated but they are officially retired. That is because we are going to be resetting our future, with a brand new official WWE Draft. And in doing so all superstars will be 100% exclusive to his or her brand, which means we need opportunities for everyone to succeed so the championships will break down as follows:

RAW: WWE Championship, Intercontinental Championship, Raw Tag Team Championship, Raw Womens Championship.

Smackdown: World Championship, United States Championship, Smackdown Tag Team Championship, and Smackdown Womens Championship.

Now instead of airing a night of draft picks we want to focus on the action, which is why the respective general managers that have been assigned for each show will do the draft behind closed doors, and you the fans will have to tune in to both Raw and Smackdown to see where your favourites end up. As well as any new signings the company may make.

And finally, the big question, who are these general managers? Well in tradition of family blood feuds, the General Manager of Raw will be Stephanie McMahon, and the General Manager of Smackdown will be Shane McMahon.

So this week on Raw begins this war for supremacy between siblings, as well as the excitement of new faces, new rivalries, and both general managers will be assessing their talent and deciding when and who gets an opportunity at the vacant gold."

Ahead of the next episode of Monday Night Raw, General Manager Stephanie McMahon has released the following statement in response to her brother's comments last week

"Unlike my brother I believe championships should be earned and opportunities should not just be handed out like he did on Smackdown.

That being said over the next few weeks I will be evaluating all of the talent on the Raw roster, and putting together the best competition to crown the best possible champions for my brand.

So as I previously said I will evaluate the raw talent and put together 4 great matchups to take place at Summerslam to crown all four champions for Monday Night Raw"

Re: WWE 2011 Alternate Universe | EWR

Wanting to continue the momentum from last week's World Championship match, Shane McMahon has announced that this week we will crown the very first Smackdown Women's Champion but it will be a little different.

Instead of a 4 way Elimination Match it will be a Fatal Four Way, first fall wins.

But he also wants Smackdown to be the fans show so he is leaving the participants up to the WWE Universe with a fan vote.

What 4 women deserve a shot at the Smackdown Women's Title?

                      Alicia Fox
                      Beth Phoenix
                      Eve Torres
                      Gail Kim
                      Layla El
                      Michelle McCool
                      Natayla Neidhart
                      Rosa Mendes

I was always a fan of Benjamin and wished he had been used more. Nice to see him get the virtual victory.

I was also a fan of the Barrett Barrage althought I wasn't really into wrestling at this time my step-son would watch it and he was one of the few who didn't make me nauseous.

Would have loved to seen him virtually get the win versus Cena.
