It's true that Williams took a salary cut but he also has the off-the-field incident hanging over his head in which he had some charges dropped and/or reduced. However, the League itself will come down with some type of punishment for Williams.

I expect we will be hearing about the punishment coming soon from Goodell. I expect for it to be only 1 game but could go as high as 4 games.

I don't think the league would wait until the season begins to hand out his punishment. I honestly thought right after that incident that there was a possibility we would go ahead & cut Williams but we didn't.

I know this is just the preseason but the 1st 2 preseason games have shown how bad that our 3rd & some 4th string players really are. We've had the lead going into the 4th quarter the 1st 2 preseason games & lost both of them. I know several of these players are going to be cut but it's still certainly not fun to watch such awful playing.

Zack Martin has a hyperextended knee & is expected to miss the final 2 preseason games & hopefully be ready to go for the season opener. An MRI is still scheduled to be performed tomorrow to make sure that's all this injury is to Martin's knee. That was concerning when I seen it happen. I thought for sure it was a more serious knee injury. Thank goodness.

S Xavier Woods pulled a hamstring & his status for the final 2 preseason games is unknown at this time.

Yea the Zack Martin injury is concerning. No need to play him the rest of the preseason. Just let him rest. I honestly would rest Tyron too. I really think they are going to need to make a trade for some OL depth.
