Need Franchise help, please

I need a kind soul to help me out w/ a couple things. Would be greatly appreciated.

1. My son and I are wanting to try to play the entire NFL season. So, playing against each other every game of every week. We don't want to do all the other stuff (training/injury management/scouting/etc.), just play the games, and then maybe control the draft/free agency/trades. Is this possible to do/set up?

2. If so, how do I set it up? I apologize as I am not very dialed in on these things.

If your playing on the same console best way is to do an offline and select all 32 teams. If you have 2 consoles then invite his profile to an online league . However you can only control one team each .

Ok, but how do I select all 32 teams? Sorry, when I say I'm dumb about this stuff, I mean I should legally be required to wear a helmet. Thanks for the response/feedback. Oh, and this would be for same console. Couch play sort of stuff.
