AlTito's NHL 24 Sliders

Hey everyone, I'm back at it for another year!

Below are the sliders I currently use in NHL 24. They are intended to provide a good mix of fun and realism. Don't be afraid to adjust things to your liking or needs, these sliders are there as a base.

Updates will be listed at the bottom of this post.

* IMPORTANT NOTE *

There is a bug where default sliders are sometimes replacing in game the ones you entered. And once a game has started, you can't switch between presets because they are greyed out.

So, at the last step before launching a game, in the menu where you can change your lineup and your strategies, go into Settings and then Gameplay Sliders. Once in, check to be sure that the sliders used are the right ones. If not, switch between Gameplay Presets and re-select the one you saved earlier.

Have you tried any franchise games? I can't get sliders/settings to load into franchise games

I didn't try franchise yet, I wanted everything set before starting one.

I set the sliders in Franchise, saved them, went out and back in and they saved. I played a game and went back in to check and they were back to default. However, I was able to set the "Gameplay presets" back to my saved ones.

I know the sliders were working in my game though because I had to go in and reduce CPU penalties down to 50 as I had 7 PPs in the 1st period

Good thing to know Lord, thanks for the tip!

And yes, penalties are definitely something I still have to work on, even if I already have lower values in general compared to '23. Every year I start with all penalties sliders at 100 and then lower them. Always better to start with too many and then work to cut some of them gradually.

These sliders are pretty solid. I've found the game plays real fast tho so changed game speed to 0 and player acceleration 40 and player speed 35.

No problem, definitely something wonky going on. Played another game and when i checked the sliders the gameplay preset was set to my name but the settings were default. I changed the gameplay preset to NHL 24 and back to my name and the sliders went back to your sliders.

Hopefully addressed in patch soon. Just have to make sure before every game that they're correct. At least I didn't have to readjust all the sliders, just move the "gameplay presets" back n' forth.

Lowered different individual penalties sliders this morning. I continue to monitor and test things, maybe I will also have to reduce the global CPU Penalties slider.
