Turn off Conference Championship Game?

In my custom conferences, I'm trying to disable some of the conference championship games. When you have less than 12 teams, the option is grayed out. I've tried turning it off by temporarily getting to 12 teams, then disabling it, removing the extra teams, but the championship games still occur.

Any ideas?

A ton of people have reported this bug bug no harm in going over to EA and reporting it yourself.

I don't think it a bug, if u have more than 12 team there must be a conference championship. I don't recall a conference with 12 team or more not have a conference championship ever

It’s the opposite in the game.

If you have more than 12 teams, you can turn the championship game off.

If you have fewer than 12 teams, you are forced to have a championship game.
