online exhibition sliders

Hello

I was wondering if anyone here knew of a way to save my sliders for custom internet games for me and a couple of my friends. What I am trying to avoid is having to reset them up every time we go to play. I have experimented with Guru's sliders and the spring training sliders to some success. Now I am hoping to be able to impliment those in without having to do it manually every time. I also am trying to not have to set up a league necessarily...though if I could find a way to do it that way I may go with it.

I have been lurking here for a couple weeks now in anticipation of MLB 2k9, and while it is certainly flawed...I like many of you enjoy the game (but will enjoy it more when they fix the darned AI swinging at everything and the first base glitch). You guys have a great site! Thanks for any help you can provide.

Re: online exhibition sliders

Did a forum search and found this post... I'm having the same problem.

I downloaded the ST sliders, tweaked and saved them, but when I want to play a custom exhibition game against a friend, those sliders do not load... meaning every time my friend and I play a custom game, we have to go through and adjust the sliders.

I've checked every option and every menu in the game, on both the main game and online menus. The only option I saw was "Save Online Settings," but I tried and it doesn't apply to the custom sliders. I also don't see an option on the sliders screen to allow you to upload one of the custom sliders saved on the hard drive.

Am I missing something? It would be ridiculous to have to adjust these things every freaking time I want to play a game.

under online features: player match. there u can adjust your settings for every game, as long as you're creating the match.

To set these go to Xbox Live in MLB 2K9, select Online Features then Online Options and then Player Match. Scroll down to Difficulty and select Custom, then scroll down to the bottom and set Custom Difficulty Sliders to On. Then push your RT button.

Enter these sliders for User. After you enter hit your start button twice. You will see it saving. When you do a challenge, go to Exhibition and then Create Player Match.

Re: online exhibition sliders

For added fun, if you guys use the same teams all the time, create a league and use the flex schedule. If there are four of you, and you set it to 162 games, you probably won't finish the "season", but you will have a running tally of everyone's stats against each other.

I would not really consider this a season, but more of a club.

Thanks, guys! I did go into the Xbox Live menu and set the player match options, but must have missed the part about pressing RT and saving the sliders.

Also, good idea about the 4-team league. Right now it's just a friend and myself, but we know of others with the game, so maybe we can set that up.

Thanks again.

That's a good idea.

Thanks. It something I came up with when EA released their dorked up version of a "league" in the latest Madden release. Terrible league function, but its flex scedule, and the ability to schedule 10 games against each team created what I thought was a club atmosphere. They even let players use the same team if they wanted.

The main limitation is if you want the ability to switch teams. But it does seem that most of us want to use our favorite team to play most of the time.

But this is also an easy way to keep a stable set of sliders, even if you want to change them for other games.
