Can you sim one game in franchise mode? I only see sim season.

go to the schedule view. Select the game - it asks to play, sim etc

Thats not the right way. There is no "sim" option. You just have to click on the next day and it will say advance to this day.

Sorry meant you can sim a day not the game. Basically what you posted
